Kids,
It all happend so fast...
I wanted to get one last shot of The Golden Gate
when this strange car pulls up.
"Hey man, can you move it over a bit..."
Turns out his name was Dennis and he'd driven over 120 miles
from Sacramento to begin a trip from San Fransisco
to New York in of all things...a Chrysler "New Yorker"
He wanted me to take his picture to start the documentary.
Well one thing lead to another...
Seems he was recently divorced, his wife didn't want the car
so he and his son decided to give it a fresh coat of paint
and drive it to New York in honor of Flight 93 in Pennsylvania.
Thus the name of the trip..."Let's Roll".
The idea is to get over 10,000 signatures
in Red, White and Blue and create a Flag.
Get this...he asked me to be the first to sign his car.
Mr. Lincoln even gave his Blessing.
No sooner did we have that taken care of
when CHP showed up to survey the situation.
Not to mention this Indian Family...
Finally made it back to the Bridge...
and the beach for sunset.
No kidding...
first person up was born February 12th,
Mr. Lincoln's Birthday
