You'll be staying in the Aspen Suite

Kids,

When I arrived in Salt Lake, the plan was to stay at a friends Condo and get caught up on my emails.

Actually I was supposed to be there for Thanksgiving,
he had all the fixins but was unable to make it until a week later;
which was fine except my friend had to go back to Laguna Hills and took the key with him.

Thus began a rather sorted adventure to make arrangments to pick up the extra key.

After several conversations, we I realized the condo was just across the street from where I'd stayed
with another friend three years ago when I traveled the Lincoln Highway in my bucket truck.

And get this, its three blocks from Temple Square.

Hard to believe, but true.

It's a small world...

In any event, arrangments were made and I picked up the spare key.

When I walked in, I almost fell over...talk about chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

That's Scubby Doo on the tube in case you didn't notice...

The kitchen and my work space until I moved to the dining room table.

That's a real Olympic Relay Torch hanging on the wall-Sydney 2000.

My friend has 11 or 12 waiting to be so displayed.

I checked the "For Sale" literature in the office for a two bedroom with fireplace and all the amenaties...$200K plus.

What a hoot!!!

Almost everynight since I left in September, I've taken a photo of my accomodations for the evening.

Will do a separate email on this in the future.

When my friend said, I was to sleep in the Aspen Suite I wanted to include it in my collection.

While I could take a regular shot of the room, somehow it just didn't seem right.

Several days passed and I was anxious to get an email out from SLC, but still it wasn't right.

Then on the third day as I got out of bed it hit me...how cool is this???

Actually took about 25 shots to get it right...

I started out without the flash, but the room was too dark to get any sharpness or detail.

Then I tried the Flash, but it ruined the shot...

So what's a poor mother to do??

Why get out the Star cross filter of course.

I think it looks, "Bitchin"

See the Aspens???

Warmest Regards from Salt Lake City,
