Football Friday Night #4
When I rolled into Boystown, Nebraska,
I could see the stadium lights off in the distance.
As I pulled up to the stadium,
the clock showed 1 minute, 20 seconds before game time.
Boy, was this going to be close!!
(No pun intended-Not)
I introduced myself the the Police Officer in charge and
arrangements were made for me to pass on to the field.
Everything was going right on schedule,
and it was Homecoming to boot-the Forth Week in a row.
Well, I suppose it was too good to be true.
The Fire Chief said, under the circumstances, Sept 11
he didn't think it was the best thing to do.
So, I pulled off to the side and the Firemen invited me
to their weekly fall ritual - a tailgate party.

Several charbroiled burgers later,

I put up the Flag in Boystown and was
soon on my way to Elkhorn, Nebraska for the night.
Thanks for the meal, Guys!!
