Today is the Day - January 12th

The Day for What, you ask??

Well, actually many things, but for starters
It's Carl Fishers's Birthday.

You remember Carl,
he's the Founder of The Lincoln Highway,
born way back in 1874.

In addition,
for the last 10 years or so I've noticed significant
events relative to "The Great Work" occur on January 12th.

At first I didn't think much of it, coincidence perhaps,
but each year I continue to be amazed by Events of the 12th.

In fact if I hadn't been for a January 12th Event
back in 1997 we wouldn't be here today.

I'd been working on the Lincoln Highway project for a year or so
and was getting rather discouraged by the lack of interest,
so I set a deadline.

If I don't receive some sort of positive response
by January 12th, I'm out...
I've had it, let someone else carry the load.

Well, I'm still here if that tells you anything.

In fact, if it hadn't been for the citizens of Galion, Ohio
mounting a Campaign to route the Lincoln Highway through Galion
on January 12th, 1914 the Lincoln Highway National Museum & Archives
would not exsist.

And on and on it goes..

OK, so what about this year???

While I can most certainly asure you,
I'm not where I thought I'd be,
events of the 12th were quite significant
as additional pieces to the puzzle continue to fall into place.

Originally, the plan was to cover all the material in one email,
but the more I worked on it, it's just too big and covers
at least 12 separate chapters, so I think it's best to break them up. Enjoy,
