Hook Number 3
I called DESCO in Salt Lake
to say I'd be there within the hour,
then pulled onto I-15 South
with not a care in the world.
It was good to finally get back on the road...
I'd missed it.
Every few minutes or so,
I'd glance over at the indicator gauges.
Everything seemed to be running fine.
Clearly,
I was in "Hog Heaven".
Then,
at almost exactly the same point as before
the oil pressure went to Zero
and the engine started to knock.
I couldn't believe it...
This was serious!!!
I pulled off at the exact same exit
and into the exact same and Car Lot as before.
I checked the oil,
it was 3 quarts low,
but otherwise seemed fine.
I started it up again just to be sure.
You could feel a distinct vibration
and the engine started to jump.
I put me ear to the oil pan.
Oh God...
Trouble-Big Time!!
I called Brett with the bad news.
He said, "Hey buddy, you're runnning out of Free Tows."
The truck arrived in less than 20 minutes.
I learned my lesson from the last time,
the drive train was dropped and ready to go.

I called Ty with the news...
There was a profound silence
on the other end of the line.

Here we go again...

At least Mr. Lincoln gets to meet a lot of interesting people!!
This is Justin, Driver Number 3.
So, I guess it's back to 'Square One".
