Back to Square One
First thing was drop the pan...

Oh, Boy!!!
At least it came right off this time.
Next were the Rods and Mains.

Number one Rod had spun,
Number one Main was not good,
and it just got worse from there.
The bearings were all trashed
and with less than 100 miles.
Go figure...
Nothing left to do but pull the engine.
First came the drive line,
followed by the transmission,
clutch and flywheel.

It weighs almost a hundred pounds.
Next came the engine,
but not before disconnecting
all the wires, linkages and hoses.

We tried the cherry picker.
What a joke!!
So now what???
Kelly has a one ton wrecker,
but it was out on a pick up.
So now what do we do??
I looked around and my eyes stopped on a
Union Pacific Boom truck in the parking lot.
"Now that's what we need."
Turns out the UP guys were there to check on a few parts,
so within minutes the truck was backed up and ready to go.

Guess I could call this shot,
"Hook # 4"
It didn't take but a few seconds.
I guess with the right toys,
anything is possible.

Next, we had to reposition the chain
so we could put it in truck

for transport to Salt Lake.

Once in Salt Lake,
Zip, Zip Zip...that was that.

Not a pretty sight.
Like I said,
"Back to Square One."
