Colonel Robert Harper,
Chairman of the Lincoln Highway Committee,
Chairman of the Local Liberty Loan Committee,
was in charge of building the 25 x 50 ft. Liberty Fire
and gave the command to light the fire poses with
Mrs. William G. MaAdoo, President Wilson's daughter and
Chairman of the Women's Liberty Loan Committee,
who pushed the button to light the blaze sending the signal
for Liberty Fires to sweep across the continient.
