"Presidential Wreath"
Major General James T. Jackson, USA Commanding General,
Military District of Washington, (MDW) passes through
Honor Guard to present a wreath on behalf of the
President of the United States, George W. Bush at the
annual Lincoln Birthday Celebration, February 12, 2001.
The ceremony started at 12 Noon and included music by the
United States Marine Band, a reading of The Gettyburg Address
and additional tributes by over 20 different dignitaries and
patriotic organizations, including one presented by
Craig Harmon, Founder & Director of The Lincoln Highway
National Museum & Archives in Galion, Ohio.
The Ceremony is sponsored by The Lincoln Birthday
National Commemorative Committee.

Members of the United States Marine Band play Taps during
the Lincoln Birthday Celebration February 12, 2001
at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC.
Wreaths of tribute were presented on behalf
